The NBHM has various schemes to provide financial support to institutions and individuals to strengthen the mathematical base/potential through study, exchange or other such programs.

The support of NBHM must be acknowledged in all the publications/patents coming out of the financial support of NBHM.
General Information
To refund interest earned on NBHM grant and unspent amount if any, DD to be drawn in favour of ‘Pay and Accounts Officer, DAE, Mumbai. by post to the following address

Along with the application form, Institute Bank Account to be linked with PFMS Scheme (Scheme 3758 Grant-in-Aid to others) should be submitted.
Publication/Patents coming out of NBHM funding should have acknowledgement of NBHM support in the document.The list of such publications/patents are to be submitted along with renewal/completion report to NBHM. (Publication and Patent Information available in the Forms section)
Contingency Grant(RP (JRF/SRF), PDF, PhD) can be utilised for the following :
Purchase of stationery and books. Books purchased by the scholar from the contingency grant are allowed to be retained by him/her.
Travel inside the country for attending conference/lectures, etc.
Towards payment for computer, laptop, tab and computer accessories
Any other purpose specifically authorised by the department.
The unutilized part of the contingency grant is not allowed to be carried forward to the next year.
No expenditure can be incurred for purchase of furniture and office equipment (printers/xerox machine, etc), Air conditions, etc.
The contingency grant cannot be utilized for foreign travel or other expenses for visit abroad.
